Our Makers

Our Los Angeles–based factory is founded on ethical production and refined craftsmanship. The makers here are the backbone of our brand.

Our People, Our Heart

Before any piece ever reaches your closet, it passes through the hands of the people who craft it. The question is: whose hands are those?

Do those hands belong to craftsmen who care deeply about how something is made, and who it is made for? Or to workers operating in unsafe conditions, who are disconnected from the result?

Our makers are the quiet force behind every Isla & Saige piece. They translate our values into something you can feel, wear, and live in. It’s essential that they not only care about their craft but that they are appreciated, supported, and rewarded for their skill.

Heirloom quality fashion begins not with the sketches or fabric swatches. It starts with people. With skill. With standards. And intention.

We’re proud to partner with a woman-owned, Los Angeles–based factory. A partner we chose for their values: a love for craftsmanship, a care for people, and a pride in work that lasts.

Our craftsmen bring decades of experience to the table, but their work doesn’t stand still. They are encouraged to learn, refine, and grow, earning greater responsibility and pay along the way. Our seamstresses, pattern makers, and cutters understand that true quality lives in the details most people never see.

Attention is paid to even the smallest of measurements. Sometimes it’s the details that are as precise as one-eighth of an inch, which elevates quality from good to exceptional. Thoughtful construction isn’t just pretty; it’s what allows a garment to hold its shape, structure, and beauty for years of wear.

Our Promise is simple, but uncompromising:

Craftsmanship.

No toxins and designed to live in your closet forever. A promise that shows up in how and where our styles are crafted.

Our makers work in clean, safe environments where harmful chemicals are never part of the process. The fabrics they cut, sew, and finish are thoughtfully sourced to protect the person wearing the garment and the people creating it.

We partner with a Los Angeles–based dye house with nearly 30 years of experience producing high-quality dyes and finishes. We chose them for their dyes, which are GOTS-certified—meeting the global standard for safety and environmental impact.

This means our dyes are low-impact and free from substances such as heavy metals, formaldehyde, and azo dyes. It also means the dye house must comply with GOTS’ strict working-condition standards, protecting makers’ rights throughout the process.

Heirloom-Quality: Clothing Designed to Last

Fast fashion teaches us that clothing is disposable. Our makers believe the opposite.

Each Isla & Saige piece is crafted slowly and intentionally, with construction methods meant to outlast trend cycles and seasonal wardrobes. This is clothing designed to be worn, lived in, and eventually passed down—not replaced.

Our craftsmen inspect each garment by hand, ensuring it meets the standard we believe clothing once held and should again.

Together in Community: Fair Wages & Ethical Labor

Our relationship with our makers is not transactional; it is collaborative.

We invest in fair wages, safe working conditions, and continued training, and we are proud to work with partners who are members of the Garment Worker Center Coalition. When our makers thrive, the work is better. The garments are better. The future of fashion is better.

When you choose Isla & Saige, you are investing in skilled craftsmanship, ethical labor, and a quieter, more thoughtful way of dressing.

Transparency is ingrained in our values.

We don’t hide who makes our clothing, and we care deeply about the conditions in which it’s made. When a piece is crafted with clean materials, careful construction, and respect for the people behind it, you can wear it with confidence.
